Good quality. Great books
Excellent. I fell in love with the characters and found myself consistently wondering how I would fit in to the world Marie Lu created. Definitely recommend this series for fans of Hunger Games, Divergent, or Maze Runner.
MUST READ IT IS WORTH YOUR TIME. This series is held very dearly in my heart. If you love the Divergent series and The Hunger Games series, then the Legend Trilogy would be a perfect fit. It is 10x better than all the popular series today. They just happened to have a streak of luck to get as famous as they are. If you read the Divergent and Hunger Games series, like myself, you will notice that the story slowly starts to go downhill as the series continue. The third books are always the most unloved ones. However, Marie Lu just keeps getting better and better. I could not put any of the books down and she did not disappoint throughout the series. If you go on Google and check the ratings of her books, you will notice the ratings continuously goes up. She created a beautiful story packed with actions, adventure, mystery, romance, everything a good book has to offer. I HIGHLY recommend this series to everyone. Thank me later. Plus it is coming out with a movie soon so might as well jump on the bandwagon now! The books are descriptive and readers get more of a sense into the character's mind than any movie can display.
Great Dystopian trilogy. I read all three of these books in less than 6 days, from the very beginning of legend you're on the edge of your seat and you're there till the very last sentence of Champion. The books are split up in two views. Days and Junes, For example it goes Chapter Day. Chapter June, Chapter Day. Chapter June and so one. Which gives you a good perspective of both characters. Legend introduces you to all the characters and paints a great picture for each one, you get to know the republic and the kind of world these characters live in. You live in that world while you're reading these books, so many plot twists and details, even devastation. A lot of the emotions can hit home for a lot of people which creates for an amazing story. The ending seems horrible and saddening but it's all in good time for the characters. You come to love every single character in these books and it breaks your heart when anything bad happens to them. They become family and you just want them to succeed in everything. These books are great for anyone who loves future set dystopian books with a lot of action and some romance en-tied.
As Promised. As promised. A+ Fast Shipping
These books are incredible. This review is hard for me, so I will break it down.Content of the books: 5 stars - excellent.Physical quality of the books - 3 stars.First let me hit on the physical quality of the books - the only reason this review isn't a solid 5 stars. The first and third books are made well, with white, even pages and beautiful dust jackets with a matte finish covering a glossy inside. The second book, however, is where my issue lies. I am not for sure if this issue is consistent of all the sets being a sold or if mine was a fluke, but the second book consists of yellower, cheaper pages cut in some sort of ridiculous jagged angle. I could have dealt with all three books this way, but it bothers me that just the second one was like this. Now for the actual books themselves: they are incredible. I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a trilogy, a dystopian series, or just a good book to become immersed in. It might say Young Adult in the category.ii am almost 28 - far from being a young adult myself. The story is told from a split perspective of the two main characters. At first I disliked this, as this is usually not my favorite type of format. However, this set up was nicely executed, both in writing and the format of the pages. Each character has his/her own font type and font color, as well as a heading at the top of ever right page to remind you whose perspective you are reading. I have never witnessed it so beautifully executed quite like this in the past. The story is incredible and I breezed through the series in three days (I did have to work and sleep). I was captivated wholeheartedly by this series and wanted to keep reading despite hunger, obligations, and a need for sleep. The writing is beautiful and easily captivates the audience. The level of detail is excellent enough that one knows exactly what everything looks like, while not being overwhelming in a Wuthering Heights/Romanticism kind of way. These books are beautifully written and incredible. If the jagged pages is an issue, I won suggest purchasing the books separately (but then you won't receive the free bonus) or take your chances that mine was a fluke. Either way, this series is worth your time.
Bought for son. He loves this series
My 12 year old loves this series. He couldn't put it down, and I ordered more books by the same author.
My son who never reads, had to do the first book for English class. He enjoyed it so much, he wanted the set. When a book can grab the interest of a teenage boy and make him interested in reading, that's a good book in my opinion.
De las mejores distopías que he leído, sin duda es una trilogía básica para todo el que guste de este género
My daughter wanted this book for so long long and the quality was awful I was very upset to see it was second hand and the price was much more than if it was bought as singles I wasn’t aware it was second hand as I would not have purchased them
The box set is pretty good. Go for it.
The Ruby Red Trilogy: Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, Emerald Green
The Ruby Red Trilogy: Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, and Emerald Green
This internationally bestselling series follows Gwyneth Shepherd, a girl with a time-traveling secret. Traipsing through past centuries, juggling a potential romance, and unlocking her destiny, Gwen has her work cut out for her.
Ruby Red: Gwen has always known that her family is different—the women, in particular. As time travelers, they are no strangers to the possibility of the impossible. But even they are't expecting it when Gwen shows signs of being a time traveler rather than her cousin Charlotte. Thrust into a world she should have been excluded from, Gwen is introduced to Gideon, a fellow traveler. Although the two don't get along, something other than annoyance might be brewing under the surface. As Gwen masters her new ability, she learns more abou therself than she ever could have imagined.
Sapphire Blue: Gwen has joined the ranks of the Circle of Twelve, a secret society of chosen time travelers. As the Ruby, Gwen is tasked with finding travelers in the past, all while delving into prophecies and trying to read the mixed signals that Gideon, the Diamond of the Circle, has been sending. With the help of her best friend, a ghost, and a gargoyle demon, Gwen seeks to unearth the truth behind the Circle—a truth that has been actively hidden from her.
Emerald Green: Crushed to learn that Gideon may have been deceiving her all along, Gwen has to move forward nonetheless. She has more than enough on her plate: her distrust of Count Saint-Germain, founder of the Circle of Twelve, who wants Gwen to finish collecting blood from the other chosen travelers; the chronograph, a device which will close the Circle if she succeeds; and the resistance she meets at every turn as she seeks more knowledge. With much more to be revealed, Gwen must race against the clock to fulfill her destiny—before it's too late.

So good. I borrowed this series from my library about and year ago and loved them, I recently remembered how good the series was and wanted to re-read it… it’s even better the second time!! I would recommend this series to anyone who wants to go on a little adventure and find a little bit of romance along the way!
Page Turners. My 11 year old daughter is hard to but reading materials for, as little interests her. She LOVES this series!! This series has been a page turner for her, since the first book. She is halfway through the second book. I am reading it as well so I know what she is reading. So far these books have hinted at romance, but are very appropriate. She loves them. I absolutely recommend this series!
Gift. Grandaughter loves to read
Well described for time travelling adventure. This trilogy was in my book shelf (of Kindle) quite long before I finally read, and I wished I read a bit earlier. The plot twist of Gwen became time traveller instead of her cousin Charlotte is funny, how she tried hard to adapt to new environment is something I can relate, and her task to get chronograph an interesting quest. Finding out the secret of chronograph is interesting whenever Gwen goes visit to the past. Only flaw is that I wanted more details how Gideon feels for Gwen.
Author: Kirsten Gier- Winner. This box set is beautiful and the stories are amazing as well. Ms. Gier is a German author, I believe, and has a great way for storytelling. This was the first series I read from her and it's cleverly structured even with all the twists and turns of writing a time-traveling series. Time travel stories can get confusing as one is always trying to keep track of where/when the characters have been and what changes happen in the future/present as a result. Everything falls cleverly into place in this series, but you have to read the whole series to find out everything that happens. What a fun read!
Childhood Fave. I love it! My childhood got me loving this trilogy that I can’t help but reread it just for the love between Gwen and Gideon and the mysteries that unfolds, the author really know how to surprise you with many twists and turns. All in all I love it! I will definitely reread it sometime later again
No spoilers. Yea I read all three in a weekend. You kinda need to read them like that. There is a lot going on in the plot and things overlap as they are time travelers. I read a lot and have to say this was a new take on the whole time traveler thing. I do not want to do any spoilers but I think the female character was well written as a strong, smart, and independent women. Sure there is a male lead but he isn't in ever seen. It was refreshing to see a female character that wasn't afraid to adventure off on her own sometimes. I think they could do another series from Gideons perspective.
Absolutely lovely. Sweet, lovely books for every girl, no matter her age. Characters are very likeable and funny. And a translation done by great Anthea Bell is an extra cherry!
So this is a young adult series. If like me you like time travel and let's be honest there's romance also. I fell in love with the Trilogie it's great I don't want to spoil anything. Oh if you wanna make sure it fits your taste there is a movie on prime video . Its well worth buying.
Bought for someone Christmas present she is already on her 3rd book. She is over the moon with this collection and very happy.
I read these as a teen in Dutch and loved them then. Now I prefer reading in English and it's even better. I only struggle with the name but that's a me problem. The story is well thought through. Love the ghosts and the clothing descriptions
Chegou em perfeito estado, com ressalvas de que o contact do terceiro livro veio saindo nas pontas, mas nada que eu não consiga reparar, passando outro contact.Eu amo os filmes e foi através dele que conheci essa história, não vejo a hora de ler
I read the first book when I was younger and absolutely fell in love! I didn't finish it because books were too expensive for me. I decided now to buy a kindle & finally finish it! And I am so happy I did!I felt so happy reading the books and finished them all in two days <3

Desperate to stop the wedding and to heal her wounded heart, Evangeline strikes a deal with the charismatic, but wicked, Prince of Hearts. In exchange for his help, he asks for three kisses, to be given at the time and place of his choosing.
But after Evangeline’s first promised kiss, she learns that bargaining with an immortal is a dangerous game ― and that the Prince of Hearts wants far more from her than she’d pledged. Absolutely Amazing. I received this ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest and voluntary review. I was in no way compensated for this review.Stephanie Garber returns to the magic world of Caraval with a brand new story, Once Upon A Broken Heart. As we all know by now, this story will involve our favorite Fate, Jacks, and new heroine Evangeline. This story takes place after the events of Finale, so new readers can happily read this one without prior knowledge of the original series, but as a fan of the series, I’d still recommend them!As you probably know by now I am HUGE fan of Stephanie Garber's Caraval series! Returning to this world was a little like returning home. There is just something so magically wonderful about this series, I can't really explain it in words at times. There's just this happy feeling I get when I am reading the words and living the story with Evangeline! This story held me captivated from the very first lines and didn't let me go until I closed the back cover. We open the story to meeting Evangeline in a state of tears. She had officially became an orphan and now her stepsister was marrying the boy she loves most. She is willing to make a deal with the Prince of Hearts in order to stop the wedding, but of course any deal with Jacks isn’t going to turn out well for anyone other than Jacks. Jacks agrees to her request, but she must kiss three people of his choosing when and where he tells her and Evangeline agrees to his terms. When Evangeline sees the results of her wish come true, and sees her beloved, stepsister and the entire wedding party turned into stone, she takes their place and frees them.Evangeline wakes up six weeks later with the help of the Fate, Poison, and sees that a lot of things have changed in that time. Luc, her beloved was injured once again and sequestered himself off to heal and refuses to see her or even her stepsister, Marisol. Evangeline and Marisol have a fragile relationship. Evangeline has a somewhat trusting nature and doesn’t believe that Marisol did anything to actually hurt Evangeline, she believes that was more her stepmother’s ideas. We do get a happy encounter with Evangeline meeting Scarlett and Donatella, no boys sadly. Scarlett was amazed to hear about Evangeline’s sacrifice. She wants Evangeline to attend the Nocte Neverending, a celebration of sorts where the prince in the north, Apollo, will try to find a bride at a series of balls. Evangeline asks for Marisol to join her, for she feels sorry for his stepsister and the way her mother treats her and with what the gossip columns have been saying about her. Then naturally at the first ball, Evangeline runs into Jacks. The moody, post-Finale Jacks…who now has blue hair! I was a bit curious about the how and why of the color change but since it’s Evangeline’s point of view, we don’t really get that reason. It’s safe to say it was due to what he went through after Finale. Jacks tells her she has to kiss the prince, Apollo. Doesn’t tell her why and Evangeline has no choice but to do it or else, she’ll die. Her kiss magically makes Apollo fall in love with her and Evangeline can’t help but fall a little for him too.The story really takes off when murder comes into play and Evangeline is the number one suspect and when her life is on the line, Jacks is the one to be there for her. Surprising, yes? The story then evolves more into Jacks’ possible plans. We get an inkling of what he’s after, we know what he’s willing to do to get it, but he still don’t really know what he wants it for.Stephanie Garber really amps up the magic in this story and I was all for it! There’s talks of fairy tales we have yet to know and how Evangeline was raised on her mother’s stories. There’s also just a very fairy tale like feel in the air of this one from the balls and fancy dresses to even Evangeline’s pink hair! What made this one even more exciting for me was my favorite kind of character popped into this story! If you know Stephanie and how she came to create Jacks, it’s related to that! Otherwise I will leave even that minute detail a surprise for you.Once Upon A Broken Heart was filled with surprises at every turn! Just when you think things are running smoothly, she shakes things up with a shocking character reveal or a startling backstory. I’m eager to learn more about Jacks and his plans and oh how I wish we could get his point of view! Not only because he was somewhat villainous but because he is such a complex character! You never know what he’s going to do next. Yes, he’s a liar and manipulative and self-serving, but I still think there’s something more to that guy! It’s amazing how one can love the most deplorable characters in books! Despite his dark intentions…I still think he’s going to surprise us in the next book!Fans of Caraval will rave over this one and it’s a perfect read for fans of fantasies and fairy tales. It’s the right blend of magic and danger. This is a book I ended up cherishing from beginning to end! I loved returning to this magical world, if on the other side of town. Once Upon A Broken Heart will sweep you away into a magical world alongside ours where just about anything is possible!Overall Rating 5/5 stars
Romantasy is so BACK. My friend introduced me to this series. I was a bit scared going into it because romantic-fantasy books tend to have a lot of details that are hard to keep up with. However, when I started this series, I was so hooked. The story follow Evangeline Fox as she starts a quest for true love. She accepts the help of Prince Jacks, a very mysterious being. Jacks is what you call a "morally grey main character." He helps Evangeline through very questionable methods. But all in all, it follows EvaJacks (super cute ship name, btw) as they journey through the kingdom to try to finish the quest. I loved this book, and this trilogy. I am very excited to read the Caraval Trilogy, which also has Jacks in it. 4/5 stars from me!
Read it non-stop. I read a lot on kindle unlimited, mostly romance and NA but I haven’t read a book where I couldn’t put it down until I finished it for awhile. This hooked me, kept me guessing, and we still have a cliffhanger at the end of the first book. It’s a fun, fast, cool fairytale read and I love that they are ‘Fates’ instead of Fae lords and princes like usual.
BEAUTIFUL. This book is gorgeous! I love the cover, the finish, the spine...I just didn't love the story🫣 ok, ok, I enjoyed it for sure, I liked it actually...but is it one I'm going to reccomend? Probably not. I feel like this would make a great movie because it really does feel like your reading something from Disney. It's a fairytale, and has all the fairytale vibes. I loved that aspect of it. I loved the little dragons, and the fancy dresses, but idk if I'll be reading it again. I just had mixed feelings about it is all. Felt a little predictable. Maybe if I read the rest of the series I'll change my mind, but overall, it is beautiful, and a fun read, just not a "drop everything you need to read this now!" book...
An enchanting read. When I started this book I was looking for stories that were romance, with a bit of sadness. Honestly, this wasn’t that, but clearly it still captivated my attention enough for me to read it to the end. The constant tension, thrill, and mystery of this adventure was enough to prevent me from picking any other book up while reading it. I don’t much care for cliff hangers, but this one definitely leaves me wanting the next book in the series.
I came for the magic, but I stayed for the slow burn. I started OUABH immediately after finishing Finale, and I’m glad I did. I was not a huge fan of Jacks at the end of Finale, but I was very curious about what would happen to him. Where will he go, how will he cope, what hijinks will he get up to? I needed to know more. For a general timeline, the first 1/4 of OUABH overlaps the last 3/4 of Finale. In true Stephanie Garber fashion, OUABH sucked me right back into the wonderful world she created in Caraval. I thoroughly enjoyed being thrust back into that world and getting to see how Scarlett and Tella were doing. It was nice checking in on beloved characters but getting to know Evangeline and seeing how Jacks coped after being rejected by Tella was incredible. This new story has a very different magical focus, and I was all about it. Princes, curses, prophecies, ancient magical arches, old royal families, tiny dragons and vampires? Yes, please! And to top it all off, Evangeline (and her incredible chemistry with Jacks) is the key to everything.I came for the magic, but I stayed for the slow burn.
So happy. I absolutely love this series. Being from the United States, I was bummed that our copies of OUABH are far less pretty than the UK versions. I was extremely excited to find this used copy on Amazon! It is in incredibly good condition, and was pretty much like new. There were just slight few cover imperfections but none that were noticeable.
Took 300 pages to get good. I tried to get through this book because the ranting and raving on book tok. It took me 300 pages to finally start to enjoy it.
JACKS MY MANN
Adorei o livro! Entretenimento garantido
Loved the fairytale aspect and the attention to details. The character of Evangeline seems to learn during the story, I hope I will get better in the next book.
